Invited to join Dutch Royal Military Police, left R'dam August 11, 1939 to dépôt Koninklijke Marechaussee in Apeldoorn. Decorated for saving people from drowning at Ostende during the Allied retreat from

the German army. Trained as Secret Agent for the Netherlands in England. Parachuted behind enemy lines in 1944, instructed the Resistance in weaponry, coordinated sabotage. 2nd Lieutenant, Police sergeant, Dutch Army and living at 117 Hertford House, London W1 1945. Post-war career as officer in the Nederlandse Landmacht , served in Indonesia, Korea and

Bad Öhnhausen, Westfalen. Served in Arnhem and Maastricht. Retired position of Lt. Colonel in the early sixties. Position at the Hotelschool in the Hague. Emigrated to Canada in 1970. Positions in the hotel and catering business. Cremated North Side Crematorium Edmonton.
