About Johannes John Loy

Johannes and Anna were married on January 6th, 1730, in Haßloch, Bad Durkheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. (Noted): Johannes and his wife, Anna, arrived in America on a palatine German ship, in the port of Philadelphia, Pa., in (1740), when he was (61). Their eldest son, Hans Jurich Laye, along with his wife, Maria Elizabeth (Troud), and Han's younger brother, Johannes Heinrich "John Henry," arrived in Pennsylvania., from Germany on a palatine German ship called the "Elizabeth" on August 27th, 1733, "7" years before their parents came to America. Johannes Laye (Loy) probably sent his two sons to America first, to check out everything "to see if it was worth moving to America," as it was custom for European parents to send their children over to America first, before their aging parents up-rooted their lives to move. Yet, 18 years later both Johannes and his wife, Anna, would return back to Europe, in Switzerland, where they both would later die. Son of N/A Laye and N/A., of Germany/Switzerland.

(Wife): Anna Maria Fechtor.
