a) The marriage was registered in Cape Town on 25th September, 1803 of Christoffel Alewijn Kruger, citizen of Graaf Reinet (Republic) to Magdalena Johanna Steenkamp. The marriage of Christoffel's elder brother Johannes Petrus also of Graaf Reinet, to Martha Elizabeth van der Walt, was concurrently recorded in Cape Town on the same day. No witnesses are mentioned.

b) Second marriage to Engela Magdalena Bester and married on 4th July 1831 at Cradock, Cape Colony (date per WikiTree).

3)Death: 6th March, 1843 at the house of Jan Fourie (Johannes Hermanus Fourie, husband of sister Maria Magdalena Petronella Fourie.)

4)Children:

The writer has checked the Graaff Reinet birth registers for the period between the births of Martha Johanna Petronella Kruger (2/11/1811 Image 420) and Maria Elizabeth Kruger (6/7/1808 Image 337) for evidence of a second Johannes Petrus Christoffel Kruger 1810 (as documented originally on Geni, My Heritage etc) and found no corresponding entry. A second Johannes Petrus Christoffel Kruger is also not mentioned by Dr E.E. Mossop (although he also does not mention some of the other documented children).
