Biography

Johannes Thoma, Sr. was born on December 20, 1685 in Neuenbürg, Baden, Germany and was baptized on December 20, 1685 in Neuenbürg, Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. His parents were Albrecht Thoma and Barbara Thoma (unk). He was a Bauer.

Johannes married Anna Maria Thoma Kafer (Blanckenbühler) on November 18, 1711 in Neuenbürg, Baden (now Baden-Württemberg, Germany). Together they had the following 5 children:

1. Hans Wendel Thomas;
2. Ursula Thomas, Infant;
3. Anna Magdalena Schmidt (Thomas);
4. Margaret Aylor (Thomas);
5. Michael Thomas.

He died between 1720 and 1721 in Virginia.
