Comments: was born in Duncan's Creek, Laurens County, South Carolina. He died in Morgan County, Georgia and was buried in 1812 in Apalachee, Morgan County, Georgia.
He was in the Revolutionary War from South Carolina. He entered service in 1777, and was captured near Charlotte, North Carolina. He was exchanged in a prisoner exchange by General Smallwood and Lord Cornwallis on October 24, 1780. He was in prison at Camden, South Carolina. Of note - Both his father and grandfather were in the Revolutionary War.
