Biography

John Adams was born on 11 March 1667/8 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the son of John and Sarah (Woodman) Adams. He married Hannah Treadwell on 22 May 1690 in Ipswich.[1] She was the daughter of Nathaniel and Abigail (Wells) Treadwell. They lived in Ipswich where John was a miller and a yeoman.[1]

His widow Hannah died on 23 October 1733.[1]

John died in 1718 and his estate was inventoried on March 24, 1718. His will, written on February 15, 1717 names the following:

beloved wife Hannah, executor until my son John comes of age
daughters Hannah and Sarah
my three other daughters - Abigail, Mary and Priscilla, L40 each, when they reach age 21 or marry
my beloved son John [2]
The will was witnessed by his brothers-in-law, Joseph Whipple and Daniel Warner, and by Thomas Nowlan. [2]

His widow Hannah died on 23 October 1733.[1]
