About John S. Albrecht

ALBRECHT, John S. 1925 - 2012 Passed away at Trinity Village Care Centre on Friday, October 5, 2012. John came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour at an early age and was carried by a spirit of worship, repentance and thanks- giving well into his years of struggle with dementia. He is survived by his wife Pat; his sons, John of Guelph; George and his wife Christine of Kitchener and by grandsons Josiah, Micah and Zachariah. He is also survived by his sisters, Emma Lichti of Millbank and Erma Leis and her husband Omer of Brunner; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Eva Albrecht of R.R.2 Wellesley; Aubrey and his wife Christine Harrold of Edmonton, Alberta; Sheila and her husband Dee Reeves of Tillsonburg and a cherished abundance of extended family and friends. He is remembered by the staff, families and residents of Trinity Village who loved him and will miss him too. Predeceased by his parents, George and Elizabeth Albrecht; sister Mary and her husband Anson Yutzi; brother Ervin; brother-in-law Albert Lichti; Pat's parents, Jack and Olive Harrold; and, again, an abundance of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at Futher-Franklin Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St., Wellesley on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Road, Waterloo, on Tuesday, October 9th from 10:00-10:45 a.m. A service of thanksgiving and remembrance will follow at 11:00 a.m. followed by a light lunch. Burial will take place at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 3620 Nafziger Rd., Wellesley at 3:00 p.m. The family thanks God for His gracious provision for John and Pat, especially in the difficult later years. We also thank the staff of Trinity Village Care Centre for their amazing care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee; the Alzheimer Society of Kitchener-Waterloo or the charity of your choice. www.futher-franklinfuneralhome.com
