• Fight took place in Sydney near the church hall on a Sunday night about 7 p.m. John was fighting with Edward Dougharty over some coins which John took from him, and Edward Dougharty got bitten in the process. They both had to face the Magistrate and were
• John Alexander was involved in a fight over some half crowns with Edward Dougharty and in the process Edward Dougharty got bitten on the hand and dropped the coins and John Alexander picked them up. Peter Connick who was with John Alexander had to separate them. They both had to go to court and were fined 40 pounds and 20 pounds repectively. The Magistrate told John Alexander that he would be jailed if he appeared in court again.
