  • John Alexander was involved in a fight over some half crowns with Edward Dougharty and in the process Edward Dougharty got bitten on the hand and dropped the coins and John Alexander picked them up. Peter Connick who was with John Alexander had to separate them. They both had to go to court and were fined 40 pounds and 20 pounds repectively. The Magistrate told John Alexander that he would be jailed if he appeared in court again.
