He married Sarah RAMSEY Abt 1726 in Frederick, Essex County, Virginia, daughter of Thomas RAMSEY and Mary. She was born Abt 1707 in Essex County, Virginia, and died Abt 1733 in Essex County, Virginia.
• ii. Christian BOURNE was born Abt 1709, and died Abt 1780. She married William TAPP.
• iii. Andrew BOURNE was born Abt 1711 in Fredericksburg, Culpeper, Virginia, and died 18 JAN 1790 in W.P. Culpeper, Virginia. He married Jane MORTON 1740 in ORANGE CO, Orange, Virginia, daughter of William MORTON and Anne MOTHERSHEAD. She was born Abt 1722 in Orange, Virginia, and died in Culpeper, Virginia. He married Jane ROBINSON in VA.
• iv. Sarah BOURNE was born Abt 1713 in Essex County, Virginia, and died Abt 1757. She married John MORTON Abt 1747 in Essex or Orange, Virginia, son of William MORTON and Anne BATCHELDER. He was born Bef 1735 in Richmond, Virginia, and died in YOUNG, Richmond, Virginia.
• v. Robert BOURNE was born Abt 1715 in Essex Co, Essex, Virginia, and died Bef 1757. He married Unknown.
• vi. Francis BOURNE was born Abt 1717 in Essex Co, Essex, Virginia.
• vii. James BOURNE was born Abt 1718 in Essex County, Virginia, Virginia. He married Mary KENWORTH.
• viii. Henry BOURNE was born Abt 1719 in St Mary's, Essex, Virginia, and died 15 OCT 1787 in Orange, Virginia. He married Anne MORTON 3 JUL 1745 in VA, daughter of William MORTON and Anne BATCHELDER.

Andrew Bourne, the father of Peter, John and Robert, died by 1700 in Richmond County, leaving his wife Christian. She remarried, this time to Henry Johnson, who already had a family of his own. When Christian died, she left a will naming her sons: John, Robert and Peter. (Essex County Deeds & Wills, 1711-1714, p. 152) There was no mention of Thomas Schooler or a daughter who could have married him.

Essex County Virgina Records 1717 -1722 pages 128-59 Will of John Bourne of the County of Essex and Parish of St. Mary's, being very sick and week in body, dated 23 Oct. 1720. My loving wife Eliza Bourne executrix. To my son John Bourne the plantation I now live on and all the land adjoining to it (that is meaning all the land I hold) but in case my son John dies without issue to my son Andrew Bourne, and if dies without issue to my son Robt. Bourne, but if he dies without issue to my son Francis Bourne and if he dies without issue to my son Henry Bourne and in case they all dye without heir to be equally divided between my two daughters Christian and Sarah Bourne. To my loving wife Eliza Bourne, Negro Jack. To my son Robt. Bourne, Negro Frank, but if he dies without issue to my son Andrew Bourne. To my son John Bourne, Negro Jenny, but if Jenny bears a child or children, the first to my daughter Christain bourne, the next to my daughter Sarah, the next to my son Francis Bourne, the next to my son Henry Bourne. To my wife Eliza Bourne a feather bed, bolster and pillows and rug, one blanket, a pair of sheets. To my daughter Christain Bourne a feather bed, bolster and pillows and rug, one blanket, and a pair of sheets. To my daughter Sarah Bourne a feather bed, bolster and pillows and rug, one blanket, and a pair of sheets. To my daughter Christian Bourne my skew bald mare and the colt that is now with her. To my daughter Sarah Bourne my raw noze mare and the mare colt that in now with her. To my son John Bourne a bay mare with a small starr in her forehead branded with IR (note the R was upside down) To my son Robert Bourne a bay mare which is now in John Foxes pasture (branded with 3) To my son Andrew Bourne a young horse branded with a cross. To my son Francis Bourne a gray mare colt now running with my old mare. To my son son Henry Bourne a young black mare colt with some white in her face. All the rest of my estate to my loving wife Eliza Bourne. My children shall not make any demand or enjoy these legacies givin them till they attain the age of twenty one years or day of marriage.
