John Browning II was born 1646 Jamestown, James City, VA. He is mentioned October 6, 1682 as connected with the Somers Island Co. and as having signed a petition to the Governor of Somers Islands. It is reported that he lived in Culpepper County and Caroline County, Virginia, although vital records burned in the Jamestown rebellion of 1676, and sources are unproven. His wife was born abt. 1646 Jamestown and died abt 1665-1675 Jamestown. They had a son named John Browning III who was born in 1676 in Jamestown, James City, VA. (So much for the accuracy of the dates. It would be kind of hard for the child to be born in 1776 if the mother passed in 1775 or before)

John born ~1728 was the son of Francis Browning and Elizabeth Lloyd. Son of Francis Browning and Rachel Marriot. S/o of John & Elizabeth, Son of Thomas Browning & Hester of Cecil MD. These Brownings' do NOT connect to those of Jamestown VA.
