II. 3. John Burke
Born Sudbury, Mass. ; died . Son of Richard and Mary (Parmenter) Burke. He and his mother, Mary, administered on his father's estate. He was appointed, April 6, 1696, a guardian of his brother, Jonas Burke, and was also guardian of his brother Thomas.
He resided in Sudbury and in Groton. In Sudbury he resided on part of the estate which formerly belonged to his father, Richard Burke, situated in Sudbury, near Stow line, and bounded in part by land of his brothers, John, Jonas, and Thomas's division. He sold, March 23, 1721—2, his estate in Sudbury to Edward Fuller of Salem. In April following, he purchased an estate in Groton, of Samuel Farnsworth, for four hundred pounds, and subsequently moved to Groton, Mass.
He married Rebecca.
