1665. John Clarke, received grant from Lord Baltimore in right of his Father, Robert Clarke, the Surveyor, for Clark's Purchase, 500 Acres in Charles County, known as Nattingee. In 1681 John Clarke sold this land to his brother, Thomas who re-sold it the next day.

1681 John Clarke for brotherly love and 25 pounds sells Clarks Inheritance to his brother Thomas Clarke, 9 Jan 1681. The next day John Clarke sells theland to John Godson, planter
