John Coe was born June 30, 1649 in Glouster, Mass. He married Sarah Pabodie in Duxbury, Mass., on November 10, 1681. They both died in Little Compton and are buried in the Old Commons cemetery. He was a farmer. His inventory lists sea chests, instruments and 70 acres of land with houses. There were two daughters named Lydia and two named Sarah. The first died young (but the Little Compton Families book misprints the dates).

Note: His wife and children are Mayflower Descendants.
