Sarah Pabodie was born 7 Aug 1656 at Duxbury, Plymouth. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Alden and William Pabodie.[1] Sarah married John Coe[1] at Duxbury on 10 Nov 1681. He was the son of Matthew and Elizabeth (Whately) Coe of Portsmouth, N.H. Sarah and John Coe had seven children. Sarah died 27 Aug 1740 at Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island. John died at the same place 16 Dec 1728, age 79.[2]

"Tradition says, Sarah accompanied her father on a trip to Little Compton, probably to make a home for him, and John Coe, a surveyor, came down the river in a boat, landed on the shore near the present location, and helped William Pabodie lay out the lots, and the next year married Sarah."[3]
