John Coleman was born on the 12th of May 1698 in Wethersfield, Connecticut, the son of Lieutenant John Coleman 1669-1746 and his wife, Hannah WRIGHT 1663-1741. John Coleman 1698-1758 was one of 8 children.

Sadly, John and Comfort Coleman's baby daughter, Mary Coleman died on the 1st of September 1741 at only eighteen months old. They buried her at the Wethersfield Cemetery located in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut.

John Coleman died at the young age of 57 years on the 7th of June 1758 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut. He is interred in the Wethersfield Cemetery (Old Center Cemetery in West Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut Row 13 Plot 126-1) along with his baby daughter, Mary who died at 18 months old and his wife, Comfort who died in 1766.
