John Crow, the son of John Crow, of Fairfield died in 1667. He was a merchant in the West India trade and died at sea. He was unmarried. The American Genealogical-Biographical Index (AGBI) places his birth about 1630.

John Crow, Jr. died in 1667, wealthy. His birth date is unknown. He was engaged in trade and lived at Fairfield. He perished at sea, and left no family. (From "A historical discourse, Hartford, Connecticut", no birth date provided.)

The family was living in Hartford until 1659 when they removed to Hadley. Although no birth date is given for John, it can be assumed he was probably John's first son, receiving the name of his father. He was engaged in trade at sea, so was a mature man at the time of his death in 1667. "A catalogue of the names of the first Puritan settlers" states John Crow, Jr. was wealthy, which most likely places him a little older than age 25. If his sister Hester was born in 1628, placing his birth at 1630 would probably be about right.

It has been noted that John Crow, Sr. was probably married before he married Elizabeth about 1644, and so any children with a birth date before that year were from the first marriage. "Great Migration" states John and Elizabeth married by about 1640, but U.S., New England Marriages puts their marriage about 1645.
