John Miles Duvall was born circa 1745 in Prince George's County, Maryland.
His parents were Jacob Duvall and Mary Miles Duvall (Bourne).

John married Alisia Duvall in 1770.

John married Anne Roselle Philomena Loan (Tarleton) circa 1773 in Prince George's County, Province of Maryland. Together they had the following children:

3. Eleanor Chenoweth (Duval);
4. Mary "Polly" Shehan (Duvall);
5. Thomas Duvall;
6. John Miles Duvall, Jr.;

9. Priscilla Huffaker (Duvall);
10. Gabriel Duvall.

He died circa 1787 in Potomoc River, Saint Mary's County, Maryland, United States from Drowning.
