About John Eaton, IV

John was a housewright and made some of his living by improving property and reselling it. Soon after his marriage, his wife's father gave Esther the 20 acre Lot #137 in the 2d (West) Division in Hampton, on the southeast side of the Hampton-Exeter Rd. Although this house is mentioned in 1709 deed, the couple seem to have lived there, and 18 months later, in Sep 1711, they sold this lot with house to Jacob Green. soon thereafter, in mar 1711-2, John bought Lot #* of the Cain's Brook Division back in what was still his native Salisbury MA. Now in central Seabrook, NH. Although the lot seemed unimproved when purchased, it not only had a house on it when John sold it in early 1718 to John Gove but was described as the 2nd homestead of John's family at the time. The family the moved to a lot in Salisbury's Gravelly Ridge Division owned by father John The father died immediately after giving John this property.
