Closely associated in business and personal life with his older sister Mary Louise Brodie (Hanlon) and her husband Alexander O. Brodie. Another important relative was Henry Spingler van Beuren whose inheritance fueled the Walnut Grove Dam Project. Kept working on the vB family interests in Arizona after Henry S. van Beuren's death.
