John Hardin was born in Fauquier, Prince William, Virginia, United States. He was the son of Major John Hardin (1710 – 1789) and Catherine Marr Hardin (1711 – 1786). He married Isabella Strawbridge (1733-1814) at Faquier, Prince William, Virginia, United States on May 3,1751. Isabella was the daughter of Christopher Strawbridge. Don't know her mother's name.
