John was baptized August 4, 1691, however his actual date of birth is unknown. He after March 1754, however his actual date of death or burial is also unknown.

He was mentioned in his father's will dated 25 May 1718, proved June 1718. John was an innholder in the South Precinct after 1732 on present North Street in Randolph, later called the Willard place on west side opposite the large rocks, north of the low ground once known as the slough. He was elected hogreave in 1717, fenceviewer 1729, constable 1734 but refused to serve, surveyor of highways 1736, 1738 for the South Precinct. He was a partner in the Land Bank of 1740. Both John and his wife were alive in March 1754, but no records of his death is found.
John is the son of Lieutenant Nehemiah Hayden and Hannah Neale
He married Margaret Curtis on February 26, 1712/13 in Braintree. they ahd one child, Captain John Hayden, Jr. born about 1716 in Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts.

Children: Hannah , born January 3, 1661 ; Sarah , July 9, 1662 ; Josiah , June 19, 1669 ; also Joseph , John , Hannah , Elizabeth , Lydia and Abigail .
