Samuel Hayden, Sr.

Samuel Hayden was in the War against King Philip with the Suffolk Troops and was at the Great Swamp Fight Dec.19,1675. Administration of his estate was given to widow Hannah Oct.31,1676, inventory taken Oct.26.

Lived probably in East Braintree on Commercial St. south of Elm St. (S.D. 8-190).

Katherine, Hannah & Patience were baptized Jul.10,1685, and Susanna Hayden, & Sarah Wild, daughter of Hannah Paddleford were baptized May 8,1692.

Born, say 1635 or 1638, to John Hayden and Susanna (____) Hayden of Braintree MA. Samuel died before Oct 31,1676, when administration of his estate was granted to his wife.

He was the first husband of Hannah Thayer, married Oct 28,1664 at Braintree,MA.

Children: Samuel Hayden, Susanna Hayden, and Sarah Hayden Wild.
