Uncle John was a warm friendly man. He used to come stay with us when he went hunting in the Chehalis area. He would bring his accordian and entertain us. (Karen Laulainen Plummer)

      Hendrickson - John Edwin, 68, of 3376 Ocean Beach Highway, Longview, died

Jan. 18, in a Portland hospita;. Born Aug 14, 1901, in Quincy, Ore., he was a

retired longeshoreman, a member of the ILWU No. 21, of Longview and No. 92 of

Portland.

    Survivors include his widow Matilda, at home; three sons, Rex of Longview,

Elmer of Kelso, Robert of Kalama; two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Koegler of Winston,

Ore., Mrs. Renee Carver of Kelso; 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren;

two brothers, Chris Hendrickson of Portland and Ike Hendrickson of Kelso; one

sister, Ethel Kaunisto of Longview.

    Those wishing to express their sympathy may contribute to the Shrine

Hospital for Crippled Children in Portland. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Ditlevsen-Moore Chapel with Captain Fred Russell officiating. Concluding services and interment will be at the Longview Memorial Park. Ditlevsen-Morre funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
