Party originated from Buckinghamshire.

Departed London, 13 December 1819. Arrived Table Bay, Cape Town - 9 March 1820.
Final Port - Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth - 15 April 1820

Biography

He was adopted by James Lance a shoemaker and his 1st wife Elizabeth in 1824 when his newly widowed and impoverished mother, Sarah, was in dire straights; pregnant with her last Cadle child and with 5 others to feed and no income.
