From Abbott's history of the Ingalls family of Andover MA: "John Ingalls Jr. married Mary Willis. With his brothers Stephen and Benjamin, he joined the First Society at Abington, Connecticut in 1750 and all signed the church covenant in 1753. He was prominent in town and church affairs and was lieutenant of the militia. He died in Abington, Conn., April 2, 1783, age 86."
