Identity
Mary Ingalls who married Ephraim Farnum was the daughter of John Ingalls and Sarah Russell and born at Andover on 27 March 1705. This is demonstrated by the will of another daughter of John Ingalls and Sarah Russell, Sarah Ingalls who married Daniel Osgood but did not have children. In her will (probate 1764), Sarah (Ingalls) Osgood includes a bequest to her nieces Mary Merrill and Sarah Farnum, daughters of her sister Mary Farnum, deceased. (Essex County, MA: Probate File Papers, 1638-1881.Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2014. Case 20273).
Mary Farnum the daughter of Ephraim and Mary Farnum married Jonathan Merrill. Ephraim and Mary's daughter Sarah born in 1747 was unmarried in 1764, but later married William Eaton.
Note that the Find a Grave is inaccurate for both the birth and death. Mary was born in 1705 and was deceased before 1764. There is a Mary Farnum who died at Concord in 1795, but it was not this Mary. See page 146 of the Farnum genealogy for a further discussion of the death of Mary (Ingalls) Farnum; https://archive.org/details/newenglanddescen01farn/page/146/mode/2up
