   J.J. Ossler and his wife Emma J. and children Catherine E., Albert A., and Richard V. lived in Kane Borough, McKean County, PA at the time of the 1900 US Census, which was taken on June 16, 1900. They were living in the 4th ward. Enumeration district 112.
   Reference in Monesson Daily Independent 9/20/1915 is a letter to the editor from John J. Ossler, Secretary of the New Kensington Painters Union.
   The letter was in support for a candidate for sheriff for the Republican primary. In the letter, JJ Ossler, stated that the candidate he was endorsing, John E. Shields had not employed non-union workers in his building projects.
   A birth record for a Nattie Ossler on 16 September 1885 in Pittsburgh lists Jacob J. Ossler as the father and his occupation is listed as painter.
