hn Milton was born in Morgan County Kentucky the son of William M. "Billy" Jenkins and Sarah Montgomery. On May 22, 1872 he married his first wife Nancy Tackett the daughter of James Tackett and Nancy Blevins. John Milton and Nancy had three children; William Henry Jenkins, Martha Ann Jenkins and Minta Jenkins (born August 7, 1876, died June 15, 1879) After Nancy died, on January 24,1907 he married Vinetta Montgomery the daughter of Benjamin Montgomery and Sarah Ellen Gillum. John Milton and Vinetta moved to Scioto County, Ohio in 1828. Their children are; Edna Earl Jenkins, Myrtle Mae Jenkins, Bertie Alice Jenkins, Fonzie Jenkins and Cecil Jenkins. John M. Jenkins and Nancy Tackett on 22 May 1872 Wm. J. Tackett Surety John M. Jinkins married (1st) Nancy Tackett on 23 May 1872 at William Tackett's home Witness: J. W. Conley and John Adams. C. C. Crase, Regular Baptist Minister. J. M. Jenkins married (2nd) Vinetta Montgomery on 24 January 1907 at Ben Montgomery's home. Witness: Mack Penix and Rainy Jenkins.
