John Johns, writer in Glasgow, married Elizabeth Fleming. She was a daughter of James Fleming, writer in Glasgow, former servant of Sir Archibald Fleming of Ferme, Commissary of Glasgow [J. R. Anderson, The Burgesses & Guild-Brethren of Glasgow, 1573-1750 (Scottish Record Society, Edinburgh, 1925), page 186].
