Notes

Note: Some sources list "Maria Phonice Keziah Ball"[16] as one individual, some list her as two individuals; Maria Phonice/Phoenice as first wife with one child, Obidiah; and Keziah Ball as second wife with 8 children. This profile detail lists her as two individuals. This is consistent with the sources[15] for the children.

The confusion may be attributed to the punctuation used in the genealogy "Whallon and Kitchell Families, by Edward Payson Whallon, 1932.---"who married Marie Phoenice Keziah Ball, daughter of Caleb Ball, and Mercy Parkhurst".

Note: Some confusion occurs from Morris County, NJ place names. Prior to the land division that occurred on 25th of March 1740, "Morris town", was previously "New Hanover". At this session, The township of Morris, was divided into the townships of Poquanock, Hanover and Morris. A latter divison created the county of Essex from the western portion of Morris County, including parts of Poquanock, Hanover and Morris townships. present were Messrs. John BUDD, Jacob FORD, Abraham KITCHEL, John LINDLEY jr., Timothy TUTTLE and Samuel SWEZY at the divison meeting.[1]
