About John Lancaster, Sr.

Not to be confused with a John Lancaster,Yeoman of Amesbury born July 24, 1671 and died 06 May 1742- people have confused these two men online, their birth dates don't match or death dates.

Researching Profile, he was providing ammunition to Patriots. found this Letter dated 1778, since he died in 1770, was his grandson, John Lancaster (married to Drucilla Legrand) to his Merchant friend, John Parker, originally from Virginia[https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000113008673844&] All of the Lancaster's were providing arms through their Merchant business and working with John Parker.

Not a Patriot of the Revolution, another John Lancaster was listed, not our John Lancaster, but he did provide ammunition to the soldiers and regiments. This is the case, he couldn't be in two places at the same time. The birth dates and birth area just didn't match, plus our family had records of what our John Lancaster did during the Revolutionary War.
