Birth
John Mulford was born in July 1670 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts to Thomas Mulford (1640-1706).[1]
MOTHER: There are 2 different mothers given for him depending on the record. The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, 1847-2011, Volume 159, page 351 says that John Mulford married Mercy Harris, daughter of Isaac Harris, on 25 December 1723 in Eastham, MA. Parents of John were Thomas Mulford and Elizabeth Barnes. Then others give Hannah Williams. Not sure which is correct. NEHGS is a pretty substantial source to consider. [2]

Jemima Higgins (1667-1723) on 1 November 1699 in Orleans, Barnstable, Massachusetts.[3][4][5] Mercy Harris (before 1693-1739) on 25 December 1723 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts.[6] Death and Burial
John died on 20 April 1730 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts at the age of 59. He was buried in the Cove Burying Ground, Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Headstone photo is available at Find A Grave: Memorial #49940660 [7]
His widow Mercy Mulford of Eastham was granted administration on his (intestate) estate on 17 March 1730, and guardianship of her three children on 2 April 1730. In August 1743 guardianship was granted to John's brother Thomas Mulford Jr.[6]
