After John died, his will was filed and his property divided up amongst his progeny. His daughters seemed to have inherited all of the land he owned while the sons all received cash. Agnes Mullins, the wife of Anderson Fambrough, receive 120 acres below her father's plantation. Her brother David D. Mullins buys this land from them January 5, 1780. David D. Mullins sold this same tract of land on 4/5/1785 and moves to Halifax County, Virginia (next County west of Charlotte County). There he buys 100 acres along Terrible Creek from Bartlett Gwinn who was his three daughters' father-in-law. Abner Mullins is married to Jedidah (?) Hampton. On 3/3/1793 David D. and Athaliah Mullins deed this 100 acres to son Abner but retain interest in the land. On 11/2/1795 Abner Mullins sells this 100 acres of land to Almon or Almond Gwinn/Guinn, his brother-in-law.

Note that according to the "History of Prince Edward County" by H. C. Bradshaw shows that John Mullins is lived in Prince Edward County, Virginia, near Bush River that flows into Briery River in the early 1740's.

John's estate was inventoried and dated dated 6/1/1772 and filed in Charlotte County, Virginia. It was recorded in Will Book #1 on page 178 and was signed by Jacob Porter, Bryant Ferguson and Josiah Morton.
