• From the Stafford County Court records, pp 94-95: In name of God Amen, I HENRY NELSON Senr. of County of Stafford do make this my last Will and Testament.
• Item I give unto my two sons HENRY & JOHN one shilling Sterling apiece.
• Item I give unto my Daughter MARY the wife of JOHN MASON one shilling Sterling.
• Item I give unto my loving wife SARAH all the rest of my whole Estate until the days of marriage of the rest of my Daughters.
• Item I will that if either of my Daughters should die without issue lawfully begotten then her part to fall to the survivors of my Daughters ELIZABETH, MARGARET, LETTICE, SUSANNAH, FRANCES to be equally divided. Item I also appoint my Wife SARAH and my five Daughters Executors of my whole Estate Where-unto I have set hands the 30th Novr. 1749.
