John Osborne of Braintree and Weymouth

John Osborne of Braintree and Weymouth arrived by 1639 to Weymouth. His parents and origins are unknown.[1] He married in England Mary who Raymon Meyers Tingley proposed was the daughter of Walter Knight of Salem.[2][3] However, Anderson in his review of Walter Knight of Salem could not identify the children nor the wives of Walter Knight of Salem.[4] Regardless of this dispute Raymon Meyers Tingley, has the only solid treatment of this family published to date. Wyman's Charlestown has a treatment of his son Ephraim.[5] Nora E Snow has a treatment of his daughter Patience.[6] Raymon Meyers Tingley has a treatment of his son William. See also History of Weymouth.[7] Anderson suggests that he may have also been the father of Matthew who died 3rd Month 1641 in Braintree.[8]
