Biography

John Pratt was born 29 May 1664 at Framingham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Thomas Pratt and Susannah Gleason.

John Pratt married Ruth Stimpson, born 2 Sep 1664 at Reading, at an unknown date probably in Framingham. [1] They had the following known children: [2][3]

Susannah, b. 12 Mar 1693, Framingham; m. Obadiah Allen, 17 May 1720, Framingham/Boston/Hopkinton (triple location recording).

Amos, b. 26 May 1699, Framingham; m. Ann Allen, 12 Dec 1722, Marlborough.

In 1710 the township of Sherborn issued an Ammunition Tax Assessment of L10 proportionate to each landowner listed. The list included the following sons of Thomas Pratt, Jr.: Thomas, III; Joseph; John; Johnathan; David; Jabez. Grandson, Daniel Pratt was also included in the property owners.[4]

At age 65 John Pratt died 25 March 1731, Framingham, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [5]
