About John Pratt of Lutterworth and Cottesbach
John Pratt of Lutterworth - his will mentions his residence and children and the shares of property in Ireland belonging to his sons Benjamin and Joseph
George Gernon, a Co Meath proprietor had his estate forfeited in the English Civil War. He was recorded as having two portions of land in Agherpallis. By order of parliament on 5th Dec 1650, his land was given to Dr Henry Jones, bishop of Clogher. He doesn't seem to have entered into possession of the land because in 1653 the whole Barony of Deece was allotted to the "Adventurers" . One of the adventures, William Rainsbrough, merchant tailor of London, assigned some of the land on 4th Feb 1653 to John Pratt of Lutterworth. John Pratt then assigned this land to his two younger sons. (See his will).
