Biography
John RIchardson was born at Woburn, Massachusetts on January 16, 1668, son of Theophilus and Mary (Champney) Richardson. [1] [2] [3]
In Woburn records, he is often referred to John III, to distinguish him from a John Sr. and John Jr. son and grandson of his grand uncle Samuel Richardson. [3]
He married Deborah Brooks about 1688. Deborah was born at Woburn on March 20, 1669, daughter of John and Eunice (Mousall) Brooks. [1] [2] [3]
After his father's Theophilus' death, his widowed mother Mary married John Brooks, widower of Eunice Mousall Brooks, and father to Deborah Brooks Richardson. [2] [3]
In the will of John Brooks Sr. written on July 29, 1690, he left legacies to his daughter Deborah and her husband John Richardson, and their daughter Mary Richardson, among others. [2]
Deborah died at Woburn on February 12, 1703/4. [1] [2] [3]
After Deborah's death, John married second, Lydia Pratt at Cambridge, in February, 1704. [1] [3]
John died there on October 29, 1749, at the age of 81. [1] [2] [3]
His second wife Lydia died on July 21, 1728. [3]
