Biography

John Sandys/Sandis/Sands was born in Boston on August 28, 1646, son of Henry and Sybil (unk) Sandys. [1] [2]

John married by October, 1669 Anne Manning. Ann was born at Boston, Massachusetts on March 12, 1651/2, and baptized at the FIrst Church on March 21, 1651/2, daughter of John and Ann (Parker) Manning. [2] [1] [3]

In his wife Ann's grandfather Richard Parker's will, written on January 23, 1672 and probated on February 21, 1672, he names: grand daughter Ann Sands and her husband John, to receive the two tenements next to the Meeting House, after their mother Anne Manning's death. [4]

On July 16, 1675, widow Anne Manning, granted her son-in-law John Sandis, of Boston, power of attorney is the sale of any of her lands, including pasture land at Boston and farms in Medfield, as he saw fit. [5]

John died at Boston before June 2, 1676, when widow Ann Sandis was granted administration of his estate. [2] [6] [7]

After his death, his widow married second, Robert Jones shortly after March 26, 1679. [2]

Widow Ann Jones died at Boston on February 16, 1707. [2]
