  • Married 2nd about 1684, Hannah -, born ____, died 1719 at Medfield (Diary of Rev. Samuel Niles). She Married 2nd Nov. 15, 1704, Caleb Hobart as 4th wife.
  • John Saunders will on file in Suffolk Probate (3-170, New Series) does not mention his second wife and her children as it was made before her second marriage.
  • He was made freeman May 22, 1650.

S. P. New Series 3:170, Will of John Sanders, Jan. 10, 1683: To son John all land at pomkin hill &
meadow and all land at "whom" (home) on S.E. side of highway save only where the cow house stands & my orchard & barn on same side and "nue" end of my dwelling house & the "lenetoe" on the back side & the "seler" in the "lenetoe" & land on backside of house from brother Ruggles orchard to the path that leads down to the brook from the "lenetoe" or "seller" door, and 2 steers, 1 cow & heifer & my black "hors" & my "fether" bed & bedstead & "froniten"? & a "coper" & an iron pot & two pewter platers & a "scillett". To son Josiah old end of my dwelling house & "lenetoe" or the backside etc. and land from it to the brook, and land running to John Mills orchard & the cow house & half the plain, to be divided between him and my daughter Mary, he to have the half side next to widow Harbors orchard etc. Rest of estate to daughter Mary and son Josiah. Son William Vasey sole executor, his wife and children to enjoy the profits of income until John & Josiah Sanders come to age of 21 yrs. Witness: Francis Nucom, Samuel Tompson. Presented Mar. 28, 1689 at probate by William Vesey. (Not allowed) (as he had remarried).
