ship "Planter". Since many of the other emigrants on that

vessel were from St. Albans in Hertfordshire, many researchers

had speculated that he had come from there. After his arrival,

he stayed in Boston for three years, and then settled in Mt.

Wallaston, later called Braintree, in an area that is now in

Quincy.
