About John Severance, (II)
John Severence Jr. married Anna Kellogg Nov 17, 1712.
John was a tailor by trade, but took part in the 1704 Meadows fight, wounded by Indians in 1713, crippled. Corp under Capt Kellogg, 1723. One of first settlers in Shelburn Falls. Held captive two years in Quebec.

Biography ==John Severance, or Severns, was born in November of 1647 in Salisbury,Essex, Massachusetts. His parents were John and Abigail Kimball Severns. In Salisbury, on August 15, 1672, he married a woman named Mary (b.1650) , whose last name is unknown at this time. He was an innkeeper in Salisbury. John and Mary had four children in Salisbury. Around 1680, they moved to Suffield, Connecticut, where they had two more children. In 1689, they moved to Deerfield, Franklin, Massachusetts. In 1703they moved to Bedford, Westchester, New York, where John died in 1711.
Notes ===In family pedigree of cora jackson, john severance wife is mary (unknown maiden name). His son's Ebnezer also lists wife as Mary. I didn'tenter it as I have no other information. Also I have his d.date as 1723 in family pedigree not 1682 as listed but same bdate.
