John Spalding later married Mary Stowe or Stow in Chelmsford. The "Massachusetts Town Marriage Records" indicates that John Spauldyng married Widow Mary Fletcher. Mary's parents were Thomas Stow and Mary Griggs.

John Spalding, probably born around 1633 at an unknown place, was the first of three children and two sons born to Edward Spalding and his first wife, Margaret _. (There were four more children, including Benjamin Spalding, husband of Olive Farwell, born to John Spalding and his second wife, Rachel _).
John married Hannah Hale in Concord, Massachusetts around 1658, in a ceremony performed by Major Simon Willard.
John and Hannah had eight children.
John came to Chelmsford, Massachusetts with his father about 1654. He was made a Freeman there on March 11, 1689/90. The Spalding Genalogy lists his land holdings.
John was a soldier in King Philip's War.
John died in Chelmsford, Massachusetts on October 3, 1721, aged eighty-eight.

He married Hannah Hale 18 MAY 1658 in Concord, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, daughter of John Hale Heald and Dorothy Royle. She was born ABT. 1640 in Alderley, Cheshire, England, and died 14 AUG 1689 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
