About John Stratford

John Stratford was named as "cousin" in the 1532 will of his kinsman Thomas Baynham. [1]
He had his own will drawn up on the 20 July 1549. He described himself as John Stratford the younger, gentleman of Sudeley, Gloucestershire. In his will he made bequests to:
- eldest son Harry (Henry),
- brother in law Humphrey Dyke
- "most faithful and dearly beloved wife Margaret"
- sons George, Edward, Charles, John, Anthony, Harry the younger, Giles and Thomas
- daughters Ellen and Margery
- Christian my eldest daughter (part of page missing) Cleeve in Gloucestershire
- brother William Stratford
- brother in law Edmund Broadway
His will was probated on 18 Jan 1550. [2]
John Stratford was buried at Winchcombe, near Sudeley, in Gloucestershire on 25 July 1549. [3]
