Notes

John came from England with his mother. Evidently his father came over earlier Lived in Warwick Rhode Island, was on the freeman's list in 1665. Was a commissioner in 1660. Had a grist mill and other works on the Potowomut river in Narraganset county, which were burned by Indians in the Phillip’s war in 1675.
