The Sentinel 6/30/1954 John G. Tanger, 65 Boiling Springs, died in the Carlisle Hospital yesterday afternoon. He was a member of the Boiling Springs Evangelical United Brethren Church and was a member of the choir of the church. He was chaplain and a trustee of the Boiling Springs Fire Company. Mr. Tanger was employed as a carpenter by the Glenn Meals contracting firm. He is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Donald B. Miller, Mrs. L. William Worley and Mrs. Walter F. Wilson, all of Carlisle, and Mrs. Arthur D. Souder. RD6; three sons. Lawrence J. Tanger. RD1, and Lester S. and Paul J. Tanger, both of RD6; a sister. Miss Mary Tanger. Boiling Springs; 12 grandchildren and a great-grand-child. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Lutz-Hoffman Funeral Home at 219 North Hanover Street with the Rev. J. H. Lehman, Mr. Tanger's pastor, officiating. Burial will he in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the funeral home.
