• Wife: Isabella Leveson-Gower, daughter of General John Leveson-Gower and Isabella Mary Broke, on 8 September 1825.
• Death: 20 March 1869.
• He was given the name of John Thomas Ibbetson at birth.
• In 1825 his name was legally changed to John Thomas Selwin.
• He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Ibbetson [G.B., 1748] on 6 July 1861.
