John VANDEVENTER b. 1817 Spencer Co., KY according to his tombstone, but probably was Shelby Co., KY as Spencer Co. was formed 1824. He may have married Nancy FRANKLIN in Anderson Co., KY in 1836, daughter Sarah was born 1837, and Nancy probably died. He married 1841 in Spencer Co., KY to Delila VANDEVENTER, the d/o James VANDEVENTER and Nancy INGRAM of Shelby Co., KY, may have went to Boone Co., IN by 1850 and was in Owen Co., IN by 1860, he and Delila are buried at Adel cem in Owen Co., IN
