According to an article written in the Owen Co. Historical & Genealogy publication, Thomas and Adeline were residents of Adel in Owen Co., IN in the 1870's. Son Wm Jefferson marries in 1875 and has a baby girl born up there in 1882. Now does anyone know where they traveled to next? Have a good start on the descendants of Wm. Jefferson as he went back to Greene Co., IN to live, but where did the rest of the clan go?

The info. I have is as follows: Thomas VanDeventer b. abt.1822 m.abt.1848 to Adaline Farris b. abt 1829 in KY. Thomas's parents were Jacob & Rebecca (Miller) VanDeventer who were m.Sept. 2, 1814 in Shelby Co., KY ; Jacob's father was Wynant VanDeventer b. Jan. 23, 1757 in New Brunswick, NJ d. in Somerset, NC. ; Wynant's father was Barent (Barnabas) VanDeventer b. July 13, 1722 in New Brunswick, NJ. My line runs through Thomas's brother, Absolum VanDeventer b. July 13, 1817 in Shelby Co., KY. Hope this helps.

Another has Janette MANLEY Listed as d/o Thomas and Adeline the entry is stated as follows - was born 31 DEC 1853, and died 1931. listed as their daughter She married William Jefferson VANDEVENTER, son of Jacob VANDEVENTER and Rebecca MILLER. He was born 1851. She married Laura Ellen WATKINS
