GEDCOM Note
John Miles, Jr. served along with his brother James in the Revolution under Colonel James McNeil from Columbia County, Georgia Both received certificates from Col. McNeil. The Militia Returns, 1754-1755, State Records of North Carolina by Clark, lists John Youngblood, Ensign, as a subaltern Officer, p 331-332.
He received a grant of 300 acres of land on Little Kiokee Creek, in what is now Columbia County, Georgia
